IOLeda® Software for the Palm OS®

Finally a great ophthalmic application for your Palm OS® handheld computer!
The IOLeda® application for the Palm OS® provides a handy, portable tool to calculate lens powers for cataract surgery, and collect the data for the analysis of refractive results .
IOLeda® for the Palm OS® is the premier PalmOS® software application for IOL calculation and results analysis from IOL Power.
IOLeda offers two third generation calculation formulae - SRK®T and the Barrett Universal formula. Lens implant power is calculated in most typical situation - Cataract removal with placement of an intraocular lens in the same operation, involving routine surgery and typical ocular measurements.
In the registered version, the PDA data is backed up to the desktop computer during a hotsync® of the handheld computer, and after the conduit is installed the user can control exchange of patient data between the PDA and the desktop. On the PC, the data is in CSV (coma separated text variables) format so the user can manipulate and analyse the data collected on the palm, in spreadsheets or databases on the PC.
The data on the PDA can be viewed based on operation date, and data from each patient can be linked to the PDA datebook application.

A 14 day trial version is available to permit evaluation of the program. As well as the limited trial period, some functionality of the registered version is not available in the trial version. Details are contained in the User Guide.
